Co-founder of Ryanair flies in for Enterprise Tuesday
Kell Ryan talks to over 400 attendees at the
Enterprise Tuesday session on 27 October
The Co-founder of Ryanair, Kell Ryan, spoke to a full house at the latest Enterprise Tuesday session on 27 October. Over 400 people crowded the lecture theatre at the University's Engineering Department to hear Kell talk about the impact of understanding and fulfilling customer's needs on business success.
Kell has much experience of this subject having worked for over 30 years in the airline industry, first working for the Irish national airline Aer Lingus and then Ryanair. He headed the major and crucial transfer of Ryanair to Stansted and has spent a number of years primarily promoting and marketing Ryanair within Europe. His insights into the success behind Ryanair and the importance of good customer service, training, marketing, sales, operations, and media communications were invaluable to the aspiring entrepreneurs in the audience. In particular, he highlighted the need to know your customers and deliver what they want using consistent messages with the support of loyal and highly motivated staff.
The Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (CfEL), which manages the Enterprise Tuesday series, has invited an equally successful businessman to speak at the next session. Sanjeev Bikhchandani is the co-founder and CEO of InfoEdge, the leading provider of online recruitment, matrimonial, real estate and educational classifieds and related services in India which is better known by its website, naukri.com. Mr Bikhchandani is today presiding over a business worth around 450 million (USD) with 1600 employees and 35 offices all over the country. How did he manage it? Find out on 3 November 2009 when, rather aptly, Sanjeev is talking on the subject of 'Rapid Growth Business'.
