Faculty & Research
The 'Cambridge Phenomenon' has established a reputation as one of the most successful technology business clusters in the world. The innovators based both at the University of Cambridge and in the wider, local community have developed over 1,600 firms which employ more than 30,000 people. Cambridge entrepreneurs, business angels and venture capitalists are increasingly investing in new start-ups; it is this rich entrepreneurial ecosystem that enables CfEL programmes and research to thrive.
Having established a track record with teaching and started some pilot research projects in the first three years of its inception, CfEL is conducting further research in order to develop state of the art understanding of entrepreneurs and enterprising individuals, entrepreneurial networks and entrepreneurship education in a wider variety of contexts.
The Centre has a dedicated research team working on a number of research themes. CfEL is also collaborating with key faculty at the University of Cambridge and other, international universities, on specific projects.
