Student Research Opportunities

There are several projects within the CfEL portfolio of research that are suitable for postgraduate projects and PhD research. The projects and opportunities change and evolve as projects progress and new opportunities arise. Therefore the list below is only indicative of the types of research that can support MBA, MPhil and other projects and can also provide the space and support for PhD research:

  • Demographics of University start-ups and the Cambridge Cluster
    Sector influences, time effects, geographical affinities, policy initiative - with international comparisons
  • Clean-techs
    Social, environmental and economic impact; financing, entrepreneurial characteristics, commercialisation
  • Future strategies and skills requirements of the tourism industry in response to different environmental scenarios
  • Social capital
    How and why networks evolve, perform and contribute to members' success in different sectors (international options available)
  • Entrepreneurship extracurricular activities
    Impact on company start-ups, personal development, knowledge transfer
  • Entrepreneurship education
    Impact, design issues, theory development, role in the stimulation and support of academic entrepreneurship and knowledge transfer, shaping entrepreneurs
